Sunnie's Story

Sunnie came by her name quite honestly as she was the runt of her litter of 7 and the sunshine of them all. Smaller in stature she had the same happy, gentle , loving temperament as all her siblings. Sunnie came to Maine a happy , friendly, playful puppy and was quickly adopted. That was five months ago and now she has been returned as a young adult thru no fault of her own except something changed and now she tends to be frightened by some things and needs encouragement. She is housebroken, walks well on a leash, loves other dogs and people. She would benefit from obedience training to build confidence . Sunnie has never shown any aggression and just wants to be loved and to feel safe. If you think you could give Sunnie the love and acceptance she craves then please put in an app so she can find her furever home soon.<br/>Please note: We only accept adoption applications through our website or in person (Facebook and Petfinder inquiries are not considered applications).

Completing an application is the first step toward adoption. If you haven't found the right Pixel Pup for your home yet, completing an application now will allow you to be pre-approved once that special pet comes along. We do not charge an application fee and you are able to withdraw your app at any time if you do not find the right match. To process an application, we review the information provided thoroughly. We'll email or call you to schedule an in-person or virtual home visit and we verify your information with your veterinarian (if you have pets). If you rent, we'll confirm with your landlord that you are legally allowed to have pets (and find out if there are any pet restrictions). Also, we may email or call you to discuss your information and have a dialog about your wants and expectations for a furry friend and to clear up any missing information or questions we might have.
