Sunflower's Story
Meet Sunflower 🌻
Sunflower is a doodle with a personality that will absolutely melt your heart. She was found on a solo “mission” in St. Paul—what that mission was, we may never know, but she was determined and on the move! Once she was safely brought in and cared for during her stray hold, she made one thing very clear: her purpose in life is to love people.

And that truly is her language—I love every human I meet.

Sunflower already knows some basic commands and is a smart, eager learner who thrives when her mind is engaged. She would do best in a home that can provide both mental and physical stimulation, as she enjoys having a “job” and learning new things.

She is now successfully kennel trained, though she may give a bit of a “protest” when settling in. Because of this, a home without shared walls (no apartments or townhomes) would be the best fit for her.

Now, let’s talk compatibility—because Sunflower knows what she wants. While she has lived with other dogs, she has some strong opinions about them. Because of this, we feel she will be happiest as the only dog in the home where she can fully relax and shine. Cats are currently an unknown.

Sunflower is not the kind of dog who wants a busy social calendar. Dog parks, crowded breweries, and high-energy outings aren’t her scene—they can make her feel overwhelmed. Instead, she’s looking for a calmer lifestyle with her person (or people), where she can feel safe, loved, and understood. She is currently on a low dose of fluoxetine, which has been helpful in managing her anxiety and allowing her to feel more at ease.

If you’re someone who prefers quiet time over “peoply” things and wants a loyal, affectionate companion by your side, Sunflower just might be your perfect match. She’s ready to be the queen of her castle—and trust us, she’ll rule it with love.
