Sunflower's Story
Meet Sunflower, a 1-year-old Australian Cattle Dog (Red Heeler) around 40 lbs with an incredible amount of drive, intelligence, and potential packed into one happy, energetic girl.

Sunflower recently spent time working with a trainer, and she absolutely thrived. She learns quickly, picks up commands fast, and genuinely loves having a job to do. She is extremely toy driven, highly food motivated, and follows a treat lead beautifully, making her an excellent candidate for advanced obedience, agility, dog sports, hiking adventures, or really any kind of active training partnership.

This girl wants to engage with her person. She’s bright, eager, enthusiastic, and happiest when she’s mentally and physically involved in something. Sunflower has a lot of energy, but that’s exactly what makes her so fun and so special. In the right home, with someone excited to channel that energy into learning and activity, she is going to absolutely shine.

Outside of training, Sunflower is playful, social, and very people-oriented. She loves meeting new friends and greets everyone with full-body excitement. She’s currently working on keeping all four paws on the ground instead of jumping up to say hello, and she’s already making progress thanks to how eager she is to learn.

She gets along well with other dogs and would likely enjoy a canine companion to play with. She has been tested with cats, but not yet with kids.

If you’re looking for a smart, athletic, loyal dog who would love to train, learn, explore, and truly be your teammate, Sunflower may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for.

Medical Information:
• Spayed
• Up to date on vaccinations
• Heartworm tested (negative)
• Microchipped
• Current on heartworm and flea prevention

Adoption Fee: $200

Interested in adopting Sunflower?

Contact Elise at 816-898-5646 (call or text)
or email BarkinDogs1@aol.com
