Sun's Story

Meet Sun | Apply Here | Videos

Sun is a playful, 3 year old Old English Sheepdog who is settling into foster care and enjoying the comforts of home. At 55 pounds, he is a fluffy, gentle presence with the floppiness and energy of a young pup.

Sun has shown himself to be affectionate, curious, and quick to learn. On walks, he holds his head high and captures attention with his floofy coat and strut. While still easily distracted, he is improving his leash manners every day. Inside, Sun is a true couch potato at heart, often sprawled out in full sploot, enjoying naps and quiet time. He also enjoys chewing and playing with toys, sniffing out anything interesting, and interacting with his foster family.

Sun would thrive in an adult-only household, ideally outside Manhattan, where he can continue to grow and gain confidence. He is looking for a calm, patient environment that can provide structure, love, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy both indoor relaxation and outdoor adventures.

Training Program: Sun is eligible for our Jindo Journey Grant Stipend, which covers 2 professional training sessions to support a smooth transition into their forever home. Additional training sessions may be recommended based on the individual needs of the dog and would be completed and paid for by the adopter.

To learn more about Sun's rescue story, click here.

Meet Us This Saturday

Just Food for Dogs Williamsburg - 625 Driggs Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11211

Adoption Hours: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Saturday, Dec 20th, 2025

Learn more about our adoption process:

www.koreank9rescue.org/adoption-procedures

www.koreank9rescue.org/adoption-faq

Korean K9 Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit saving dogs from the Korean dog meat trade and overcrowded shelters.

Support our mission:

• Donate: www.koreank9rescue.org/donate

• Patreon: www.patreon.com/koreank9rescue
