Summit's Story

Summit and his siblings were found under an abandoned house when they were just 5-6 weeks old. They just turned 7 weeks old on 6/3/2026 and are thriving in their foster homes!

True to his name, Summit is ready to take on every adventure life has to offer! This sweet, curious little Lab mix is always eager to explore, whether he's zooming around the yard, investigating something new, or following his foster family wherever they go.

At just 7 weeks old, Summit is already showing how smart and brave he is. He's making great progress with potty training and learning the ropes from his big foster sister, who is helping him discover just how fun being a dog can be!

Nothing seems to faze this confident little guy. Summit approaches the world with a wagging tail, an open heart, and a fearless spirit. Every day brings a new lesson, and he's soaking it all in as he grows into an amazing companion.

If you live in DC/MD/NoVa and are looking for a puppy who will be your sidekick on hikes, road trips, backyard adventures, and cozy couch snuggles, Summit is your perfect match. He's ready to climb straight into your heart and become your best friend for life. Please fill out an application to adopt him on our website to begin the process.

https://forms.gle/noj5vkcJYzAci38bA

Due to the puppy's young age, adopter of this puppy must be home most of the day. Adopter will also be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered and include a spay/neuter fee at the time of adoption for a future spay/neuter with one of our affiliated veterinarians.

The puppy is up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives. The adopter will need to arrange for the puppy's spay/neuter surgery for when the puppy turns 6 months of age.

If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.foreverchangedar.org/adopt-a-pet to learn more about our adoption process.
