SUMMER GOLDEN's Story

SUMMER GOLDEN came to us with her sister Phoebe (adopted) as owner surrenders. They were too small for their larger dogs and were crated constantly. We were told they were purchased from a Yorkie breeder in San Bernadino County. They both have the conformity of a purebred so we have no reason to disbelieve this.

Summer is 9 pounds and will likely not get any bigger. We have learned she likes the company of a small dog her size although it will take time for her to settle in and her true playful nature to come out. Since her 1st home was for 9 months, 2nd home was being fostered by our Director of Adoptions and now with Lisa, you would be the fourth home & need to be totally committed to being her forever home. This is very important as Yorkie's are not only extremely intelligent but soulful as well. Summer is currently fostered with our Founder, Lisa Michelle Corona. Summer was Phoebe's shadow and we separated them so Summer could gain confidence. She has learned how to run and play with the other small dogs and is just a cuddly delight. Summer is a little shy at first but playful, sweet, loves nap time in your lap, very smart, rides well in the car (no vomiting) and sleeps in bed with her foster Mom. Summer grew more confident with her foster Daddy everyday at Nancy's but it may take time and patience to bond with a male. Summer is potty trained to pads and outdoors at her fosters home and it will take a few weeks for her to adjust to your family, home and schedule to learn a routine at your house.

You are semi-retired with one adult home all day & are an experienced Yorkshire Terrier owner who will take Summer everywhere with you. There will be separation anxiety probably for the first 6 months as you will be her 4th home. She is technically a "purse" dog.

Our BASIC Vetting protocol: Spay/neuter, all shots including Distemper, Parvo, Bordatella. Her 3 year Rabies vaccine will be due in October. We do not over vaccinate. Heartworm & Fecal to Laboratory testing through Antech Labs. Dental if necessary. Complete Blood Count when indicated. Micro-chipped with Home Again. All of our dogs come with a comprehensive paperwork package that includes all originals of our protocol & every piece of paperwork from the moment we take in the dog. The complete chain of custody is passed to you the adopter. You need to do nothing for a year with our dogs as we have done it all. Our tax deductible adoption donation is $850.00 for puppies. If you are interested ~ Email us fluffsandscruffs@aol.com for an application or call Lisa Michelle (310) 980 3383 to learn more about this little doll. We work fairly with adopters on a first-come, first-served basis and we answer our phone!
