Summer

Hi I am Summer, a 2 year old spayed female yellow lab and I am up to date on my vaccinations. I am very friendly to all the people I meet. I am extremely energetic and would be better suited in a home with an active family. I currently weigh in at 76.8 pounds. I am good with children, but older children may be able to handle me better for walks and play. I am known to pull you along for a walk by leash and am strong enough to do just that.<br/><br/>It is uncertain how I may do in a home with other dogs as here at the shelter so far there doesn't seem to be anyone I would get along with. I am better suited in a home without cats.<br/>I have a slight limp from a golf cart accident on Tangier Island with a previous injury that has left a slight lingering limp.<br/>I truly love human contact and affection as I don't seem to know strangers in the human variety. I have a ton of energy I would like to share with someone in a new home. <br/><br/><br/><br/>If you think you may be interested in adopting Summer you can stop by the shelter any Tuesday-Saturday from 10a.m.-2:30p.m. for a kennel walk through. (We have no same day adoptions and an approved adoption application is required to be scheduled for a meet and greet.)
