If you are interested in meeting him please call 913-321-1445 or email petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment.<br/><br/>SULLY is a 5-year-old German Shepherd mix weighing 58 lbs.<br/><br/>Update: A wonderful foster family opened their home, and Sully has absolutely blossomed! He's potty trained, crate trained (even though he doesn't need it!), loves carrying around his favorite Lamby toy, enjoys being with his people, and grows more confident every single day.<br/><br/>Sully does well with other dogs and would do best in a home without cats or small children, but he does well with older kids. All he needs is a patient family who will continue to let him bloom at his own pace.<br/><br/>Foster didn't just give Sully a place to stay—it gave him the confidence to finally be himself. Now all that's missing is the forever family who will love the amazing dog he's become.<br/><br/>This boy has such a soft, gentle soul. Hes the kind of dog that quietly stays by your side, happy just to be included and loved.<br/><br/>Sully came from a heartbreaking situation, found living outside in an overgrown backyard with his mama and brother. Life wasnt kind to him early on, but somehow he still has the sweetest heart.<br/><br/>He loves car rides, walks so nicely on a leash, and enjoys playing with other dogs. But his favorite thing is simple: being close to his people. Give him a comfy bed, a calm home, and a little love, and he's happy.<br/><br/><br/><br/>ADOPTING A PET<br/>We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend. Please contact us by phone at 913-321-1445 or by email at petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment during weekdays.<br/><br/>If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.<br/><br/>Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).<br/><br/>FOSTERING<br/>Can't commit to adoption but still want to help us save lives? Consider fostering by filling out our foster application at https://www.kckpd.org/Animal-Services/Foster-a-Pet. All supplies are provided.
