Sullivan's Story

*Sullivan will not be adoption-ready until Saturday, April 25. He will not be in attendance at our Saturday, April 18 adoption event. Contact us to learn more about adopting him!*

Sullivan is a little man with a big heart and all the love to give to his person. Sully can be a bit timid and shy at first, but once he feels comfortable, he just wants to be near you. Potty training is coming along nicely, and he loves his food—mealtime is always the best time.

Sully would thrive in a home that allows him to free roam (the kennel is his mortal enemy) and where someone is home most of the time—unless his forever home allows him to tag along on adventures outside the house. He truly just wants to be where his person is, whether that’s soaking up the sun in the backyard or curled up on the couch during a quiet night in.

Sully tends to bond closely with his primary person and can be a bit reserved with others. In his foster home, he is comfortable around the husband but doesn’t actively seek out attention from him and prefers interaction when his person is nearby. With time, patience, and trust, he continues to build confidence with new people.

Like many devoted little companions, Sully can be sensitive when left alone and prefers not to be separated from his people for long. In his foster home, he has done especially well when left with the resident dog, which seems to help him feel more secure and relaxed. He may benefit from a home with a confident canine companion, or simply adopters committed to continuing to build his confidence and routine when left alone.

Sully gets along fantastically with the resident dog, ignores the resident cat, and is optimistically cautious with the resident 11-year-old.

With a little patience and a lot of love, Sully is going to make an incredibly loyal and devoted companion.

Sullivan is a 1-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $800 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and neuter. Sullivan is also tested with other dogs, cats, children, and potty trained. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if he might be a good fit for your home.

The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.

We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)

Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed.

Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).

For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned.

Thank you for choosing adoption!
