Sugar's Story

Meet Sugar, aka Suga Sug!

Sugar came to us as a surrender in April after living with seven other dogs. Shelter life has been incredibly stressful for this sweet girl, and over time she became fearful and shut down. With lots of patience and gentle reassurance, she has learned to trust her people again—and now her sweet personality is shining through.

Outside of her kennel, Sugar is a completely different dog. She’s calm, laid-back, and happiest simply lounging by your side. She enjoys watching the world go by and would truly thrive in a quiet home environment.

Sugar is sensitive around other dogs in the shelter and can be a little nervous around men, so she’ll need a patient person willing to let her build trust at her own pace.
Sugar is ready for a home where she can finally relax, feel safe, and be the sweet girl we know she is.
Could you be her forever person?
