Suede/Finn's Story

Meet Suede (AKA Finn) - Your Affectionate Best Buddy!

Suede, who goes by the name Finn, is the sweetest companion you could ask for. This affectionate pup loves his people deeply and will happily follow you from room to room just to be near you. If you've been looking for a loyal sidekick, Finn is your guy.

Finn is impressively clean and has great house manners - no accidents inside the house when let out regularly and when cues are paid attention to (sitting at the door, whining, trying to get your attention)! He's also a very intelligent boy who responds well to positive training and routine.

During the day, you can find Finn lounging around, self-entertaining with toys, and when let outside, romping through the grass or retrieving frisbees and tennis balls. He needs the opportunity to get out some zoomies and puppy energy either through running in the yard or going on long walks or potentially runs. At night, he goes down easy if allowed to sleep in the bedroom with you on a doggy bed. He may need to wake once for a potty break.

Finn is not a fan of the crate, although foster Mom is still trying to train him to accept it. When he is crated, he will whine and bark, but settles after several minutes. Regarding barking, Finn is generally a quiet dog, and usually only barks when it is meal time or someone new comes to visit. His bark is loud and deep, making for a great guard dog sound, however he is super submissive and mostly just feels excited to meet someone new.

Being submissive, he does great with other dogs. He absolutely loves to initiate play, but will respect if the other dog doesn't want to. Very young children may not be the best fit since Finn can get excited and not realize his size or strength.

Overall, Finn is an absolute sweetheart who would do wonderfully in a home where he can get plenty of attention, companionship and some training. If you want a dog who bonds deeply and makes you feel chosen every single day, Finn is waiting to meet you.

Suede/Finn is a male Shepherd/Husky/Cattle Dog mix with an estimated date of birth of 11/22/25. As of 3/25, he weighs 30 lbs.
