Suede/Finn's Story

Finn has had the opportunity to try a few different foster homes and proven himself to be a gentleman everywhere he goes. Everyone who has met him loves him. He is very submissive and friendly with all types of people. He also loves having playmates (dogs) no matter their age. He will run zoomies with the active dogs or just be nearby and respectful to the older ones that don't care to play.

Finn has great house manners and adjusts very well to new environments. He is both potty trained and crate trained, although he would much prefer a home with less crate time and more freedom. In one foster home he slept in the living room without any barriers and did great! He can self-entertain with toys or just takes naps where he pleases.

Finn is also great on leash and loves going on walks. He does very well when given daily activity. He is also very smart and treat-motivated. Finn is generally a quiet dog. Occasionally he will bark or whine when he gets overly excited and also when someone enters the home.

Finn loves children and is gentle and submissive, but can get rambunctious alongside them, so for the littlest ones, supervision is recommended.

Finn got his DNA tested and it showed his breed mix to be accurate along with a clean bill of health. Finn is ready to find his forever home. Could that be you?

Finn is a male Shepherd/Husky/Cattle Dog mix with an estimated date of birth of 11/22/25. As of 5/2, he weighs 37 lbs.

ADOPTION FEEs: CASH or CHECK ONLY DOGS $200 ($275 for Puppies) - includes spay/neuter alteration, shots, microchip, medicines and other medical procedures, if necessary. OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: Due to the Coronavirus we are suspending out of state adoptions until further notice. Our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months for complete vetting by our Houston veterinarian. We have been inundated with too many applications and, going forward, we will only review applications for people who currently have a dog or who have had a dog where the vet reference is in THE APPLICANT's name. We are unable to respond to email inquiries and requests for updates as we do not have the staff or capacity to handle all the emails/applications we are receiving. We will contact you via email with approvals and/or requests should we need additional information. When we reopen for adoptions it will be by appointment only for pre-approved adopters with good vet references. We will continue to do 3rd and 4th vaccinations for any previously adopted puppies from 10am-12pm on Saturdays at the adoption center. Please follow instructions upon your arrival there.
