Just when hope begins to fade, someone opens their heart — and everything changes.<br/><br/>We want that future for Stu.<br/><br/>Stu’s story is heartbreaking, but he represents everything that is remarkable about dogs: resilience, forgiveness, and the ability to embrace joy despite unimaginable hardship. He was one of more than 70 dogs rescued from a severe neglect situation, all crammed into a small house. Many, including Stu, had lost most of their fur because of the horrific conditions. Yet somehow, this sweet boy is still learning to trust and love the world around him.<br/><br/>And what a joy it is to watch him discover life. With freedom finally his, Stu runs like the wind and leaps like a gazelle — agility potential, perhaps? Since he had very little exposure to the outside world before coming to Animatch, he can still be hesitant at first. But once another dog invites him to play, he is all in for a game of chase.<br/><br/>Stu has also discovered how wonderful human affection can be. He adores cuddles and attention from the volunteers and is growing more comfortable with people every day. A confident, well-balanced canine companion could help continue building his confidence, although Stu is progressing beautifully on his own as well.<br/><br/>With time, patience, and some training, Stu has the potential to blossom into an extraordinary companion. Whether it’s learning new skills, exploring the world, or perhaps even trying a dog sport one day, this boy is ready for his second chance.<br/><br/>Now all he needs is a family willing to believe in him.
