Strider's Story

Meet Strider: A Gentle Fella Looking for a Forever Home!

Sweet 5 year old Strider found himself at the shelter in August after his owner sadly passed away. At a perfect 40 lbs, he quickly proved himself to be calm, relaxed, and happy to hang out with some new volunteer friends. He showed himself to be social with other dogs, setting appropriate boundaries and content to chill. With the help of a dedicated foster, our team at Dog Coalition LA was able to place him in a foster home.

In his foster home, Strider has continued to be the excellent dog we met at the shelter. He is quiet, gentle, and easygoing. He is house-broken, crate trained, and attends weekly leash walking classes with our team, working on being balanced and neutral around other dogs on leash. Strider could make an excellent first-time dog as he is friendly, content, and adaptable to a variety of lifestyles. We believe that Strider could be happy as a solo dog or potentially with a canine companion. We can’t wait for his forever family to find him and scoop up this gentle and kind sweetheart!

What You Should Know About Strider:

- Perfect age, size, and temperament. A sweet and gentle soul!

- Could be nice for a first time dog owner or someone looking for an easy-going companion.

To meet Strider, please fill out an adoption form on dogcoalitionla.org/adopt and follow @dogcoaltionla for updates!
