MY AGE: approx. 2-3 years WEIGHT: approx. 14 lbs. WHERE I AM FROM: AL
MY STORY: Strauss is definitely a sweet boy. He gets along with other dogs and from previous he is okay with cats. He does not appear concerned with our guinea pigs, just curious. He's potty trained, no accidents overnight.
He's content on the couch, on the bed, next to you, but will calmly walk himself to the crate without a fight when we leave the house. He's the perfect mix of energy and calm.
He rode well in the car and gives gentle mini kisses when you pet him. He is a quiet gentle soul. He has figured out he can lay on the couch and bed and he is never going back! He's totally fine keeping you warm all night and not move.
Toys/treats: He loves mini milkbones and small squeaky toys. Destuffing stuffed animals is also a passion of his. One day Strauss found a random ball pit ball in my house and really enjoys batting it around the house like a cat…so sometimes he makes his own toys. Another favorite of his are socks! If you’re ever missing one, check his crate lol
Cats/Dogs: Does very well with other dogs! Respects cats as long as they don’t move too fast. He is also obsessed with watching my mice in their tanks.
Strauss loves his crate, it’s his safe spot! New things can be a little scary to him, so he will duck into his crate until he is sure about what’s going on. He is not a fan of fireworks or rain. He can be a little stubborn when it comes to these 2 things and will refuse to go outside and go potty if it’s raining or if he hears something he deems scary, outside. He sleeps through the night, and doesn’t make much noise. He will only make a whining sound if he wants some company or if he needs to go outside. Strauss is a cuddler and loves to lean on you to fall asleep. If he is super excited about something, he will flap his ears at you, like Dumbo. Fill out an application for this cutie today!

Adopters must be 24 years of age. We can not adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also only adopt in WI, IL, and parts of MN. Most of our dogs are strays, so the breed is our best guess.
