Stratus is a typical German Shepherd who can be nervous around new people. He is quickly learning that new people are fun. He is a neutered 2 year old. <br/><br/>Stratus bonds quickly to people and will make someone a very loyal devoted dog. <br/>Stratus showed a very strong prey drive to a cat so should be in a cat free home.<br/>If you are able to work with a dog with some special needs and are experienced with large working breed dogs please give us a call to discuss Stratus.<br/>Stratus can be reactive towards other dogs and will require someone who knows how to work with reactivity.<br/><br/>We are requiring that you own your own home, we will not place him into an apartment or rental unit.

Franklin County Sheriffs Office Regional Shelter's Adoption Policy
If you see a dog that you would like to meet, we ask that you come into the Shelter and meet the dog(s). After meeting the dog(s) we will have you complete an adoption application. We check all references and we then try to match the dog to the best home for the dog. First application in does not always get to adopt the dog if it is not a good match. Our goal is to match the dogs to the very best home for the dog(s). We do require that your current pets be current on vaccines, and that your dogs be on monthly heartworm prevention. Our adoption fee is $200.00 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro chipped, checked for the tick borne diseases and started on heartworm and flea & tick prevention.
