Stormi - Playful puppy who loves toys

Stormi and her sister Gypsy were dumped in a hay field with their mom and had no food, water or shelter. We estimate her birth date to be early April 2026 and think she is a mix of Shepherd, boxer and maybe cattle dog with an estimated adult weight of 45 lb. She is very good at using puppy pads and her outdoor potty training is in the works. She plays well with her sister and with the small adult dogs in her foster home, she has also been exposed to cats extensively and so far shows them the proper respect. She loves to play with toys, collect them in her bed and chew on chewies (lots of them). At night she has free rein of the kitchen and breakfast room and after a little bit of complaining she puts herself to bed. Her foster mom leaves a small light on in the kitchen so Stormi can find her way if she needs to use the puppy pads at night. <br/><br/>Stormi was shy when first rescued but has warmed up to her foster family quite well. Right now shes mostly interested in being a puppy, which means running around, playing with the other animals, carrying toys around the house, chewing on things and barking if her sister has the toy she wants. Right now her baby teeth are very sharp and she thinks hands are there to chew on like toys so older, considerate children who know how to handle puppy antics would be more appropriate playmates than young kids. The good news is that with the right training and LOTS of love, she will be the best addition to your family ever and your best bud.<br/><br/>If you are interested in her, please send an email with a completed application to SCP . Please complete and return to us for review and to set up a meet and greet!<br/><br/>Adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home. The adoption fee for a dog is $210 (or $270 for puppies). All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas.<br/><br/>Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Clear Lake Petco, 2410 Bay Area Boulevard. Since all our dogs are in foster homes, an individual dog may not be at our weekly Adoption Event due to conflict with a foster's schedule. If you are interested in meeting a particular dog prior to filling out an application, please send an email to scpdogworld@gmail.com so that the Dog Coordinator can let you know if the dog will be at the Saturday Adoption Event at Petco.
