She has a playful, puppy-like energy and a big personality packed into a small body.<br/><br/>Stormi had a rough start to life. She was surrendered to a high-kill shelter after being used for breeding, and heartbreakingly, she arrived still producing milk from her puppies, who were not there when she was surrendered. Despite this difficult beginning, Stormi remains hopeful, playful, and ready to start a new chapter but this could also explain some of why she is unsure and really needs time to adjust in her new home. <br/><br/>She bonds deeply with her person and prefers being close if possible—Stormi enjoys sleeping with her human and cuddling whenever she gets the chance. She does not enjoy being crated and would do best in a home where she feels safe, secure, and included.<br/><br/>Stormi has playful energy, is very food-motivated, and enjoys toys, treats, and snuggles. She will potty outside, and when indoors she is pad-trained if she can’t get out. She has also been left alone without chewing or destroying items.<br/><br/>She can be mouthy during play and a bit bossy, so Stormi will thrive with a confident, consistent human who can guide her with gentle structure. While she could live with another small dog, she is very protective of her person and would likely do best with a single human owner who will help continue to guide her in the right direction. <br/><br/>Stormi may need a little time to adjust, but with patience and consistency, she blossoms into an incredibly loyal, cuddly companion.<br/><br/>Stormi is ready for a calm, loving home where she can finally be someone’s cherished girl. Stormi needs a hero, someone to give her the time she needs to adjust to her environment and feel safe.
