That combination of confidence and affection makes him a particularly sweet puppy to watch as he grows.

Stone is fostered with twin toddlers and other dogs, giving him experience living alongside both children and canine companions. He and his siblings are working hard on crate training and potty training while learning how to become well-rounded family dogs.

Stone is young and has plenty left to learn. Puppy classes and positive-reinforcement training will help him continue developing his confidence while teaching him all the skills he needs to become a polite, happy adult dog.

It's important to remember: Stone is a PUPPY, and PUPPIES ARE HARD WORK! He has sharp nails, needle teeth, boundless curiosity, and an impressive ability to find things he probably shouldn't have. He will have accidents, chew things, pounce on your shoes, and generally keep you on your toes. Please don't apply to adopt Stone unless you're prepared for the time, patience, energy, and commitment required to raise a puppy right!

HEALTH STATUS

Stone has received two puppy vaccinations, four rounds of deworming, and has been microchipped. He appears to be in good health.

Stone will be sterilized as part of his HART adoption. Additional veterinary care, including ongoing vaccinations and routine puppy care, will be the responsibility of his adopter.

ADOPTION

The adoption fee for Stone is $425.

To apply to adopt Stone, please complete our online adoption application at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAWA-A-196, or email HearthfireART@gmail.com and request an adoption application form.

HART dogs live in foster homes, not in a kennel facility. HART (Hearthfire Animal Rescue Team)'s Adoption Policy
All our pets are in private foster homes. HART does not have a facility. For this reason, we introduce pets to potential adopters only after the adoption application has been approved. Our process involves: # A detailed application form, which must be submitted electronically # An online background check # Reference checks (calls to your vet, landlord, and at least two personal references) # Interviews with all the adults in the home (and, if the pet is intended primarily as a child's companion, we talk with the child) # A home visit, conducted at our discretion by a member of HART or a trusted rescue colleague Most of our pets are located in the Tri-Cities (Kennewick/Richland/Pasco) in Eastern Washington, and we place pets only in homes within the Pacific Northwest. As needed we may arrange for a trusted member of our team to transport a pet to an adopter, at the adopter's expense. We do not ever release pets to a third party for transportation; we personally introduce every pet to their adopter. HART is a registered 501(c)3 charity. We depend on adoption fees and donations to continue serving our community. We do not have an office or facility, and our team is made up only of volunteers. Our entire income goes to helping animals.
