Stewie's Story
PLEASE DON'T CONTACT MASSPAWS

Meet Stewie! This very cute weiner mix loves hanging out with his big dog friends! Luckily he has longer legs than your average Dachshund which means he can keep up with the pack!

Stewie is a cuddly and loveable 6-year-old who weighs about 30 pounds. He currently lives in Quincy with his foster dad and foster sibs. He has polite leash manners and enjoys pack walks with his long-time dog walker who happens to be his foster.

Stewie is good with kids, though has little experience and should live in an adult-only home. After settling into a new environment, help him enjoy your friends and family by giving him proper introductions and time to get to know people.

He would enjoy a compatible canine sibling or two in his new home as well as continued walks. He’s spent a short time with a cat, and though it worked out well he really doesn’t have enough experience to say he’d be a good match for them.

With his foster/dog walker, Stewie has no issues at all around other dogs and people; however, he developed serious guarding over his original adopter and is reactive as a result. He has been extremely loved and given professional training, but remains insistent on being a guard dog in his owner’s presence.

Stewie needs an adopter who is confident, comfortable, and experienced with dogs and who can recognize any body language or behavior to prevent those behaviors from returning.

You will have meet and greets with Stewie and his foster and be shown how easy-going Stewie is with the right handler. He really is a good little dog and his foster says he’s an angel!

For more information, please contact glennamerry@gmail.com This is a home-to-home adoption supported by a rescue that stresses responsible rehoming.
