Stevie $25's Story

*Cattle Dog
*2 yrs old; 35lbs (thin)
*Very sweet but bashful fella. Maybe 1/2 coat of fur but working on growing it back. Polite and mild mannered. Great with other dogs. Might be best in a home with another dog vs being a solo dog in a home.
*Foster update: Did great in the home. House and crate trained. Fine in the car. Really started to come around in just 2 days- initially very shy. Someone had allergies to him so he had to come back otherwise the family would have kept him much longer.
*Fox Carolina Four Legged Friend Show Aug 18: https://www.foxcarolina.com/video/2026/08/18/four-legged-friends-stevie/

More about me August: STEVIE has found himself and we could not be more pleased! Arriving pretty shy/bashful, he's now putting himself out there and it's our joy to see him so happy and more relaxed. With his skin not as red and raw and fur coming in, he looks so much better and has to feel much better as well. Stevie really, really enjoys group play date sessions. He is 1000% in his element mixing and mingling and being happy and very social. His tail is high up in the air, he's prancing and smiling. Having a blast! He's terrific with roomies and as we look for his new perfect family, a home with another playful dog might be just what he's looking for. He still can have some shy moments one on one with his humans but he's getting more brave and more comfortable with us and his new self. Please come and meet this amazing boy. Did we mention we're super proud and pleased with his progress??

More about me July: Our good friend STEVIE is working very hard. He's working hard to be not so naked!!! Arriving with maybe a 1/2 coat of fur (Flea allergies and getting treatment for it), already his skin is looking immeasureably better and we think he's feeling so much better as well. Not as much itch, itch, itch and more smile, tail wag and a sense of settling in and knowing it's all going to be Ok. His condition didn't happen overnight and while it's clear he's been suffering for some time now, still he is graced with the best attitude- sweet, gentle and kind, kind, kind! He's still a bit bashful and shy and wishes to kind of slide below the radar but he's getting his groove back day by day. Good with other dogs, we've matched him up with a more perky 4 legged roommate to help move him along plus we've had in doggy play groups. He's that meek one slowly moving around not wishing to make any waves. He is nonetheless enjoying himself when he's engaging in some play time while getting a nice break from his kennel area. We have our sights honed in on this fella and know in no time, he will sport a full coat of fur and boy- just watch out as he's gonna be stunning. In the interim, no time like the present for YOU to be the one to personally coax STEVIE to all of his pet greatness both physically and emptionally. Come see our friend today and you too will sense all of the amzingness he can bring to your life.
