Steve (PW 1428)'s Story

Hey everyone, meet Steve! Why is he called Steve you ask? Well, because he's a standup guy, the kind of guy who will help you move your couch and then sit on it with you and enjoy a nice cool beverage and a snack. Steve came to his foster home after receiving treatment of heartworm and that's all we know about his past. What we know about his future is it's full of possibilities! Steve loves everyone and everything. People, other dogs, stuffies, chew toys and definately all the snackies! He hasn't been exposed to cats or kids yet but given his chill and loving personality he would likely take to them like he takes to everything else, with snorts, snuffles and butt wiggles. He can be a bit exuberant in his excitement so very small children may be at risk of being knocked over but it would be with love and kisses. Steve has not shown one ounce of aggression to anyone or anything and is ready to love and be loved.

Steve currently is in a foster home with 2 slightly smaller dogs (male and female) and he would love nothing more than to play with them but he's also content to play by himself or to chase and catch toys and bring them back to you. He rides in the car like a champ, walks well on a leash and is crate trained (for his safety he sleeps in a crate at night and is crated when the humans aren't home). He would love a fenced yard to explore but it isn't necessary. He is (so far at least) very quiet other than the standard pug snorts, snuffles and snoring; barking only rarely. Belly rubs are a favorite of this guy and he will gladly lay in your lap for long afternoon naps. House training with Steve has been going well. No bowel accidents at all but with some initial marking behavior he has been wearing a belly band. That behavior has steadily declined in the brief time he has been in foster and with patience and continued training should disappear completely with time. He is a very smart guy and learns routines and expectations quickly.

Steve's foster family is loving having him in their home but this guy deserves his own family to spoil and love him. If you want all the loving and are willing to share your snacks apply to adopt Steve, you won't regret it!

The adoption fee is $390.00. All animals are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed/neutered.

Due to the number of inquiries received from PetFinder and sites alike, we do not have the capacity to reply to them. Bottle Babies Rescue's Adoption Policy
We are a foster based rescue and require a adoption application submitted to us before any meet and greets are scheduled. Please keep in mind we get an overwhelming number of applications for each animal and we review applications in the order they are received. If you are approved, you will receive an email from us and a volunteer will follow up with a phone call to schedule a time to meet the animal and finalize the adoption. It's important you provide contact information for your landlord (if you rent), parents (if you live with them) and vet (if you have pets already). Omitting this information will slow down the review process and/or force us to skip over your application. All of our babies are spayed & neutered, Micro chipped, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, Felv Fiv & heartworm tested. They will also be up to date on their flea meds, before they can go to their new homes. We highly recommend socialization and obedience training for all puppies. Every home is chosen according to the needs and temperament of the individual fur baby, we like to ensure they thrive in their home environment. If you are not chosen for a certain fur baby this does not disqualify you from applying for another animal in our care.
