Steve's Story

Steve was picked up with Violet in Louisiana in September 2023.

This handsome boy has got an old soul. He loves belly rubs, and while he does get the occasional zoomies, he usually prefers to just lounge around all day. Steve would love a home where he can just chill and be near his people! He would do best in a home where he can hog all the attention (no other animals) or share the attention with Violet. He is an escape artist when it comes to fencing and runs, but he does very well with the in-ground /collar fence.

Steve does well with most kids. Our 6-year-old is able to walk him on her own as he has decent leash manners.

He has been around horses and never bothered them.

He is crate trained; he enjoys coming in the house as well.

He doesn’t get worked up about too much - except other dogs. Steve is dog selective. He especially dislikes other male dogs. He loves Violet (also adoptable!), as well as our other female dog, but he must be the only male dog in the household.

Steve was heartworm positive when we picked him up, but he has since completed his treatment, and now just needs yearly preventative!

If you would like to add his handsome guy to your family, let us know!

Transport can be arranged for the right home!
