Steve Carell's Story

MY NAME IS STEVE... AND I FOUGHT REALLY HARD TO BE HERE.

Hi, everybody! I’m Steve! I’m just 8 months old, and I have a pretty incredible story to tell.

You see, I was hit by a car.

And for an entire MONTH, I sat in pain before rescue finally came for me. A whole month of hurting, waiting, and not understanding why nobody was helping.

But here’s the thing about me...

I NEVER GAVE UP.

And neither did the people who finally saved me!

Somehow, this little body of mine made a miraculous recovery. And guess what?!

I CAN RUN! I CAN PLAY! I CAN DO ALL THE SILLY, HAPPY PUPPY THINGS I WAS MEANT TO DO!

I’m a goofy, playful, tail-wagging boy who has absolutely no idea that life was once so unfair to me.

Now, I do come with one little maybe. Because of my injuries, I could develop arthritis when I’m older. Or maybe I won’t. Nobody has a crystal ball.

But should a maybe someday keep me from having a family today?

I sure hope not.

I’ve already lost a whole month of my puppyhood to pain. I don’t want to lose any more of it waiting for someone to decide I’m worth taking a chance on.

I don’t need someone to feel sorry for me.

I sure hope no

I CAN RUN!

I need someone to LOVE me.

Someone who will throw my toys, laugh at my goofy antics, let me run through the grass, and tuck me into bed knowing I’m finally home.
