Steve's Story

It doesn't get more handsome than Steve. He is a 4 year old show stopper who has been with us now for about 17 months. Part white shepherd and part husky, this sweet boy truly did get the best of both breeds. He is well trained, has amazing recall and can break out numerous tricks. Will work for treats and LOVES it! This smarty picks up things very quickly and truly loves being engaged with his hooman. He aims to please. Steve would do best in a home that would love to continue challenging him both mentally and physically and ideally live away from the busy city. He is a country boy at heart! <br/>Steve would do best in an adult only home or a home with older kids (15 and older). An experienced owner that will keep him walking, running and/or hiking would be fantastic ! He is currently living with older well socialized cats. Steve has made other dog friends, but requires proper introductions. For now he would do best in the home as the center of attention. Originally from Victoria, Steve's family fell on hard times and he spent time outside on a short chain, not experiencing much of the world outside his yard. They were forced to consider euthanasia when no rescues would take him. Since coming to us, he has been working exceptionally hard and made huge progress! We absolutely adore him! Steve is looking for a forever family that will help him continue to feel, safe, loved, secure and where he can continue to grow. He is currently doing one on one in home force free training with Nisi and Lisi. They will provide post adoption training support. The lucky family that takes this golden boy home will have truly won the pup lottery! He is incredible!
