Stella and Boone's Story

Stella (female, white pit mix) and Boone (male, blue tick heeler mix) are two incredibly affectionate, friendly dogs who’ve known love—and heartbreak. Once cherished indoor companions, they’ve spent the last two years confined to an outdoor pen due to a housing crisis that left them abandoned.

Despite their circumstances, Stella and Boone remain sweet, people-loving pups who light up when given attention. They crave connection, belly rubs, and a warm place to call home. Sadly, being stuck in a pen outside for two years is not the life they deserve. They are now available for adoption separately to give each the best chance at peace and happiness.

Their story is one of resilience:
• Dumped by a family member and left in the care of a disabled senior who isn’t able to properly care for them.
• Survived scorching summers and bitter winters with only a pen and occasional garage shelter when temperatures were below freezing.
• Never stopped hoping for kindness, affection, and a second chance.

What they need now:
• A loving, indoor home(s), where they can thrive again.
• A fresh start, where their past doesn’t define their future.

These are not Forgotten 4 Paws pets. Forgotten 4 Paws's Adoption Policy
Matching responsible pet guardians with Forgotten 4-Paws' cats is our primary goal. We carefully interview potential adopters because we want to make sure the right match is made! Our Forgotten 4-Paws 'interviewers' do a great job of matchmaking. We work hard to fit your adoption criteria with the pets we have up for adoption. We want the adoption to be successful for both you and the cat or dog! Too often pets end up in shelters because they were never a good match for their homes in the first place. At Forgotten 4-Paws, we look for people who intend to provide a home for the life of the pet and understand what that requires. ADOPTION PROCESS Start by completing an application. Online adoption applications are available at www.Forgotten4Paws.org. Please email any questions contactusforgotten4paws@yahoo.com. Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee that a cat or kitten will be placed with you. Once you submit your application, a Forgotten 4-Paws volunteer will contact you for an interview and to talk about the specific pet(s) you expressed interest in. After the interview process, we will set up a time for you to meet the cat / kitten to make sure a successful match has been made. Typically, this will be at your home. If approved, the volunteer will make arrangements for your new feline to join your family. The adoption fees are $85.00 for one cat/kitten or $150 for two cats/kittens.
