Stella's Story

Meet Stella!
This gorgeous girl is a 1 year old Chihuahua mix. She was brought to us alongside her buddy (and potentially her brother) Buster. She is sweet and sassy, with an adorable shy side.
Stella takes a moment to warm up to new people. When she first came here she was pretty overwhelmed, and we had to take it slow with her. Now that she's been given some time to settle in she is doing much better, but she will require a patient adopter that is willing to build trust with her. Stella has lived with another small dog and briefly met a large dog, and did well with both. We have no yet seen how she is around cats. We do not know how she reacts to children at this time, either. With her being on the timid side we would recommend against her going to a home with small children that might push her boundaries.
Once Stella is comfortable around you, you really see her personality shine! This girl is so funny, and loves to chase us around the backyard. She is also very curious, and loves to watch the world go by. Her previous owner said Stella had a habit of darting through doors to try to run off, so her owner will need to be careful this doesn't happen. She will also need a secure yard to make sure she isn't running away on one of her adventures.
Stella is just a sweetheart and she deserves that perfect forever home! She has received her first round of vaccinations and is officially ready to meet her new family. If you think Stella could be the pooch for you, stop by and meet her today!
