Stella is smooth as silk! I know for all of those people that think Mals are high maintenance dogs - that's not true, not all are. Just like other breeds can not be stereotyped, this breed either. Stella Is timid, super gentle, very quiet, low energy, low maintenance and more sweet than probably most dogs you come across. She's under exposed. She is timidly fearful at new instances but with gentle and confident coaxing and reassuring she overcomes easily. Her previous owner obviously did not do anything with her. They dumped in a park! She's smart and just naturally sweet to the core. Gentle as can be, a young child could walk her. Initially, Stella was fearful about getting into a car but with a few car trips and gentle verbal coaxing, she's overcome her fear and will get in a car on her own. Even being slightly fearful she was well received at the groomers. Though, it was quite a comical occurrence that will be shared with adoption prospects. She's very dog friendly and completely non-reactive to large and small dogs. She also was not reactive when walked up to a cat adoption display at the pet store. She continued to be non-reactive to a dog that came for a ride along in the car and at the small.dog park we visited. She was mixed in with all sizes. Honestly, she's going to be a treasure to someone who gives her the opportunity to become part of their life! Stella would be great in any type of household that can patiently integrate her properly offering her comfort, gentle guidance and confidence building while she begins to experience some normal living and become more sound and confident.
