TIME IS RUNNING OUT:o( She was to be put to sleep this morning 9/29 but we begged and borrow time to keep searching for her savior! SHE ONLY HAS A FEW MORE DAYS!<br/><br/>A SHELTER VOLUNTEER WROTE:<br/>Stella is such a beautiful dog with luscious fur and almond brown eyes. Beyond her looks, Stella's greatest asset is her demeanor. To walk with Stella is more of a pleasure than a chore as she is very easy on leash and very attentive. It is apparent Stella was taught the basic commands and has a deep comprehension of them. She even responded well to the shelter cats; when we walked by the cat section she did not pay them any attention. Entering the park we were accosted by a loud large dog and a little dog, but Stella, being the true lady she is, totally ignored the chaos and enjoyed our walk. Stella was very friendly to another little dog we met who made it his business to sniff her all over. Stella’s house trained as she took care of business as soon as we got outside. Our dear Stella seems to have been loved at one time, if only she could tell us her story. Stella broke our hearts as she looked up with those big warm eyes in disbelief, are you putting me back in the kennel? Yet, she obediently climbed in. <br/><br/>Stella is a stunning 2 year old American Pit Bull Terrier, weighing approx 45 pounds (she could use another 5 pds which would make her the perfect medium size dog). With her great looks she brings an outstanding personality! She received very high scores on her Safer examine (this the shelters behavior examine performed by a behaviorist). In every way she is an A+. SO WHY THEN HASN’T ANYONE SAVED HER??? For the shelter and sadly enough, for us, it’s a matter of lack of space and resources but what is it for you? Please don’t wait, thinking someone else will save her because someone else may not…and then she will die. Just look how Stella melts at the touch of a human being and imagine how much love she must have to give! Don’t let anyone take that away from her PLEASE!!!
