Stella's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Stella! She is a 4yrs old, 70lbs, sweet, good with kids, low energy, female Great Pyrenees.

She came from a local shelter where she was adopted but then returned for chasing the family's cats and was placed on the euthanasia list. That's when SPIN Rescue stepped in.

Stella is very sweet and gets along great with everyone, including children.

She has done well with most dogs, although has had some issues with other female dogs in the past. She is currently in a foster home with several other large dogs who she tolerates well and has made friends with a few of them, especially the more submissive ones. Introductions with other female dogs should be done with care.

Stella loves going on walks and playing with Nyla bones. She walks well on a leash, but it is still relatively new to her so she does pull some, however she is quickly learning and improving.

She is house trained and does very well waiting to go outside. She is crate trained. She does well on car rides. Stella has been known to bark when she hears a noise that she is unsure of, especially if she's outside.

Stella has a fairly low amount of energy and for the most part enjoys lounging around in the home on whatever comfortable dog bed / blanket she deems best.

She is mostly independent but does love to be pet and will become your best friend if food is involved.

Stella is currently in a foster home in DFW area, Texas. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging their own transport. Stella is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and on heartworm preventative. Her adoption fee is $250.

Apply to meet and adopt her at www.spinrescue.org.
