Stella

Stella is in fact not a muppet, but a sturdy little terrier mix just under 20 lbs. Her personality is as big as her hair, she knows what she wants and what she likes. Things she likes include hanging out on the top of the couch, looking out the window, sniffing in the yard, food, toys, belly rubs, car rides, being close to her person. Things she isn’t a big fan of are being home alone, sharing food and toys with other dogs, lots of visitors, people daring to walk by “her” house. <br/><br/>Stella is crate trained and will potty outside or on pee pads. She likes her crate and will hang out in there with the door open sometimes. She tolerates other dogs, but is bossy and would not do well with another dominant type dog. She would be fine as an only dog. She is living with cats and mostly ignores them. She takes a minute to warm up to new people, but does make friends fairly quickly, she would do best in a quieter home that doesn’t have a ton of visitors. <br/>Stella’s skin and ears were in rough shape when she came and we have treated them, but she may need some ongoing allergy meds. We discovered that she has a heart murmur and have started her on heart meds as well, she will need these for life. She has been spayed and had a dental where she lost a lot of rotten teeth. We think she is about 7 years old. She will make a fun and funny little companion for someone willing to continue to get her back into top-top shape.
