STELLA 's Story

Stella is an adorable Chihuahua/Dachshund mix weighing about 7 pounds and estimated to be around 2½ years old. She and her older sister, Luna, came to us as owner surrenders after experiencing far too much change and heartbreak in their lives. These girls have lost two owners and suddenly found themselves with nowhere to go.

Because of everything they’ve been through, Stella can be a little fearful in new situations at first. Change is hard, and she just needs a little time to feel safe. Once she warms up, her favorite place in the world is sitting in your lap, soaking up love and attention. She truly blossoms when she feels secure and part of a family.

Stella and Luna can be adopted separately, but they do share a special bond. They adore each other and love curling up together to sleep. Both girls are crate trained and very quiet. They enjoy going outside to wander in a securely fenced yard, though leash skills are still a work in progress. They will occasionally use a puppy pad, but they do go outside and potty right away, so with consistency and patience, we believe they would be easy to fully housebreak.

Stella does well with other dogs close to her size but seems a little fearful of large dogs. She is looking for a forever home where she can finally settle in, play with her toys, and know that she will be loved for the rest of her life. $350

If you would like to meet STELLA please complete an application for adoption, copy and paste this link into your browser

https://fs17.formsite.com/adoptionscc/form1/index

Any vaccinations/boosters due after adoption is finalized will be the new owner's responsibility. All animals are current at time of adoption but in some cases a booster series is required or a vaccine cannot be given due to age and cannot be completed prior to adoption

Our adoptable animals come to us from various sources, the most common being from an animal shelter who is unable to handle their physical or mental needs in the shelter setting but believe with the appropriate care, they can become adoptable.
