Starr's Story
READ THE FOLLOWING FOR INSTRUCTIONS ON SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION AND FOR A DESCRIPTION OF THIS PET:

Meet Starr. A gentle girl just waiting to shine. Starr is 6 Months (Born mid-October) and German Shepherd & Husky Mix. Starr is a beautiful, soulful pup who is looking for a very special place to call home. True to her mix, she is incredibly intelligent and observant, but she carries a quiet, sensitive nature. While some puppies are bold and boisterous, Starr is extremely shy and reserved. She navigates the world at her own pace, watching from the sidelines until she feels truly safe. Once she knows she is in a secure environment, her ""calm and sweet"" personality begins to glow. She isn't the type to rush up to strangers, but for the person willing to put in the time, the reward of her trust is life-changing.

To help her reach her full potential, her perfect match will include a patient and loving family. Starr needs humans who understand that ""slow and steady"" wins the race. She needs a home that won't rush her and will celebrate the small victories—like the first time she nudges your hand for a pet. Starr would also benefit from a confident canine sibling. This is a big one. Starr loves other dogs. Having a friendly, well-adjusted dog in the home is essential for her; she looks to her furry friends for confidence and ""cues"" on how to be a brave pup.

Starr will also need a fenced-in yard in her forever home. This will give her a safe space to stretch her legs and play without the pressure of the outside world.

Starr is naturally well-behaved and possesses a quiet grace that is rare for a puppy her age. As she settles in and realizes she is finally home, she is going to transform into an amazing, loyal, and deeply loving companion. She doesn't need much—just a little extra time, a lot of love, and a hand to lead the way. Starr also loves children and has been cat tested and approved.

Starr is spayed, up to date on vaccines, flea/tick/heartworm prevention and is microchipped. Starrs adoption fee is $400.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS:

- The first step towards adoption is to complete an adoption application, which can be found online at our website www.roadtriprescues.com, under the “ADOPT” tab.

- Do not use the Petfinder links or email to ask us about our adoptable dog listings - we do not always receive these messages and will not respond to them.

- Please do not ask if a dog is still available - we do our best to update their status as quickly as possible.
