Starr's Story

Meet Starr

Starr is one of those dogs who is just all-around wonderful. She's incredibly sweet, affectionate, and loves being close to her people. She's a big fan of snuggles and happily soaks up attention, whether it's from someone she knows or a new friend she's just met.

She's wonderful with kids and has been gentle and comfortable around children of different ages. She's also very friendly with people in general. When she's out on walks, people regularly stop to meet her, and Starr is more than happy to accept the extra love and attention.

Starr does well with other dogs and has lived successfully alongside another rescue dog. She enjoys her walks, is great on leash, loves playing with toys, and is kennel trained. She's also cat friendly and has plenty of experience being around cats from her time living near a community cat colony.

When Starr first came into care, she could be a little protective of her food. That has improved tremendously now that she understands she doesn't have to worry about where her next meal is coming from. She continues to do very well with consistency and routine.

More than anything, Starr is a loving, social, happy girl who really enjoys being part of the family. She has a wonderful balance of enjoying walks and playtime while also being perfectly happy settling in for some quality snuggle time. She's ready for a home where she can finally relax, be spoiled, and give her people just as much love as they give her.
