Some dogs come into rescue quietly... and then immediately wrap themselves around your heart. That's Starburst. <br/><br/>This tiny girl may be small in size, but her spirit is enormous. At just about 1 year old and 31 lbs, Starburst has already lived through more than any dog should. She was found chained behind a home with several other dogs and somehow survived freezing conditions before animal control rescued her. When she arrived at the shelter, she was emaciated and covered in fleas — yet through it all, she never stopped being happy.<br/><br/>Her tail still wiggles nonstop. Her trust in people never broke. <br/><br/>And what everyone notices first?<br/>- Her adorable pure black tongue<br/>- Her tiny size<br/>- Her constant desire to be close to her humans<br/><br/>Starburst is the definition of a love bug. She wants nothing more than to climb into your lap, soak up affection, and finally belong to someone who will never leave her behind again.
