Star's Story
Star came to us when she was on the euthanasia list for ortho and possible neuro issues. She was able to get surgery on her patella (knee) a couple of months ago which has dramatically increased her mobility and from which she is almost fully recovered! She does sometimes have difficulty on slick surfaces but does great on dirt or cement and now runs and romps. Star adores her humans once she is comfortable and is a "daddy's girl" but would likely be happy with anyone who shows her kindness. Star is around 4 years and is about 13 lbs

Star is a very sweet devoted girl but does have some quirks. She is generally quiet but will occasionally howl for unknown reasons. She growls at new dogs however once she gets to know them and settles in she does fine with dogs of all sizes. She is a little "too interested" in cats but has done amazing with correction and does not chase them so could be taught to co-exist. She has mostly been eating canned dog food because she seems to have some challenges with (or does not care for) eating kibble nor does she typically eat treats. Star is now almost completely housebroken in her foster home and has been accident free recently but of course will need time and patience adjusting to a new routine. She is leash trained and loves her crate (her safe space).
