Stan's Story

Meet Stan the Man!

This 5-year-old, 71-pound pointer/boxer mix with the winning grin is ready to say so long to kennel living and head home with a family that adores him!

Before coming to GLDR, Stan spent some time in a foster home and they just raved about how wonderful he is! They learned so much about him and we are so excited to share with you.

Stan is a kind-hearted guy who loves everyone he meets. He may be a bit shy for a moment or two, but soon enough will be seeking out attention from his new friends. He is house-trained and doggie-door trained- a very capable pup. Stan lived in a home with another dog previously and the two had a blast together playing tug and chasing each other in the yard. Stan is a fan of the water and all sorts of treats that he takes gently.

This boy is very eager to please and will benefit from continued training, daily exercise, and a yard in his new home. He is always up for a game of fetch and is ready to soak up all the love you have to give! Can't think of a better way to spend your time than hanging with this guy!

Based on our evaluation, we feel Stan will do best in an active home with adults or families with kids ages eight and up. He may have the ability to live in a home with other animals as he has do so before. We are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby.

If you think he could be the guy you've been searching for, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com today and submit your application for our spectacular Stan!
