Stallone

Stallone has already survived more than most dogs ever should. After being found as a stray, he was rescued from a shelter just hours before euthanasia and given the chance to start over. Now this handsome 2-year-old Husky/Heeler mix is hoping someone will give him the forever home he's been waiting so patiently for.

Stallone is neutered, fully vetted, and has completed heartworm treatment. He is healthy, active, incredibly intelligent, and forms deep bonds with the people he trusts.

Like many working breeds, Stallone needs time to settle into new environments. After moving into foster care, he struggled with resource guarding and became protective in certain situations. Rather than giving up on him, we gave him the time, structure, and guidance he needed.

The transformation has been remarkable.

Today, Stallone loves long walks, brushing sessions, belly rubs, and relaxing beside his favorite people. Once he trusts you, he's affectionate, loyal, and happiest simply being close. He has been successfully introduced to new people through slow, thoughtful introductions and continues to show us just how much he has grown.

Stallone is looking for an experienced home that understands the importance of routine, leadership, and allowing dogs the time they need to decompress and build trust. We believe he'll do best in a home without young children and with a quieter lifestyle where he can continue to thrive.

This sweet boy doesn't need perfection—he just needs someone willing to see the wonderful dog he's become. We know his ideal family is out there, and we're committed to finding the home where he'll only have to unpack once.

If you're looking for an incredibly loyal companion and have experience with intelligent working breeds, Stallone may be the dog you've been waiting for.

Apply to adopt Stallone today:
https://www.blueyshope.org/adopt

Because every dog deserves someone who refuses to give up on them... and we know Stallone is worth the wait.

Fostered in Moyock, North Carolina
Experienced adopter preferred
Transport available to local / surrounding states.
