Squirrel's Story

Meet Squirrel — the boy who’s been waiting over six months for someone to finally see how special he is.
Squirrel is a handsome pit/husky mix with a goofy grin, a big heart, and an even bigger love for playtime. He knows his basic commands (especially when he isn’t bursting with excitement), and he’s always ready to show off how smart he is. This boy is all about cuddles, connection, and being close to his people — he melts right into you the moment he feels safe.
He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and loves to romp and wrestle with friends who enjoy a little rough-and-tumble play. Cats, on the other hand, are a bit confusing for him… he’s convinced they must want to play as enthusiastically as he does. He means well, but he can be a bit overwhelming for feline roommates.
What breaks our hearts is that Squirrel has been with us for more than six months and hasn’t had a single meet-and-greet. Not one. He’s such a good boy with so much love to give, and he deserves a family who will see the joy, loyalty, and sweetness he carries in every wag of his tail.
Squirrel would absolutely thrive in a home where he can stretch his legs, learn, grow, and finally feel what it’s like to be someone’s beloved companion. He’s ready — he’s been ready — and he’s just waiting for the right person to give him the chance he’s been dreaming of.
