Spy's Story

Spy is a 3-year-old husky (white, about 45 lbs) who was found with a severely damaged eye but is now safe in Seattle. Through sponsorship and volunteer support Spy was able to have surgery to remove her eye and has fully recovered. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and ready for adoption!

Not much is known about Spy except that we saved her from being euthanized shortly before Thanksgiving. She was picked up in the San Bernardino area around the beginning of Nov. (spent about 1 month in Animal Services). Through a transport she was brought to Seattle, she has spent the last few weeks decompressing and getting used to living in a home environment. Spy is sweet, resilient and just needs the right match to shine!

Spy would match best with an active person/family and a home with a yard. Spy is the sweetest girl and loves affection and snuggles. She does not bark or "speak" like some Huskies, so she is very quiet. Spy is a very active dog and will need daily exercise. She loves peanut butter in a Kong, squeaky toys and durable chew toys to keep her occupied. Working on jumping and leash manners but making great progress with routine. House trained and well mannered indoors. Good with small kids and dogs (not cat tested) and has a very friendly temperament. Please reach out for a meet and greet - foster is available to meet during the week and weekends! We are located in Seattle. Please email nwsnowdogrescue@aol.com for an application.

IMPORTANT: Please note this is a courtesy listing NWSR has not evaluated this dog in person and any information is information provided by the owner/other rescue. As part of our assistance to the owner of this dog we will ask all applicants to complete an application Please expect that a yard check will be completed prior to adoption to ensure a secure yard for the dog.

[Deer Park, WA]

Our Mission
NW Snowdog Rescue was formed, effective July 1, 2014 for several reasons: Over the last 2-3 years practically all the Siberian Husky rescues in the NW either closed down or scaled back (due to age) or went on hiatus (due to family situations). So some longtime volunteers felt that something needed to be done to fill...
