Spud's Story

Meet Spud. This big fella is a mountain of love. He was adopted out to a family but because he is so large, he was a little too much for them to walk. He does not care for other dogs, especially if they are reactive dogs. He will not be a good candidate to go to a dog park or have doggie play dates. He just wants to be with people. He would do best in a home with a fenced in yard or with a lot of land as he is large and hard to control when walking him. If he really wants to get somewhere then make sure you’ve got a good grip. He needs a home with love and a person who will appreciate him like we do. He is a shelter favorite for sure because he is so lovable. He will let you hug and kiss on him all day. He was neutered prior to coming to us and he knows commands, so we have no doubt that at one point he was loved and cared for. He is house trained and keeps his kennel clean. We believe he is at least 5 years old or maybe older but has the spunk of a much younger dog. We would recommend older kids in a home with him, rather than younger kids.
