Spruce's Story
This spunky little moppet came to us as a lost stray, no owner has been located, and now he's ready to find a new loving family!!

He could not meet any other dogs while he was on stray hold, and now he's been neutered, so that means no playtime for a bit, so we aren't sure (yet) how he feels about other dogs.

He enjoys time cozied up in a lap, and he will also chase after toys, so he’s a good balance of energy and chill. He's done really well meeting new people with us, and warms up quickly. He has not met any children yet, but we'll do that soon. He has balanced his time with us between cuddling in laps, and sniffing around our yards while ignoring us.

Spruce will need a person willing to keep up with his coat -- his floppy, moppy appearance can lead to matting, which is painful, restricts movements, and is unhealthy. This handsome little guy is getting a needed dental, probably with extractions, on May 20, and then he and his gleaming smile will be ready to launch into a new life! Could that be with you?

A 5-week Good Manners training course is included in Spruce's $350.00 adoption fee. Please call the Adoption Center at 802-476-3811, or email info@centralvermonthumane.org, to schedule a time to talk to an adoption counselor about him, and to determine if you should meet Spruce.
