Welcome Sprout! This 4-year-old boy weighs in at just 12 pounds. Sprout is already housebroken and crate trained! He sleeps through the night and keeps his crate clean when he’s at home alone. When he has to go outside, he signals by whining at the door or giving a little nudge with his paw to make sure you know it’s time to go outside. He will walk right in his crate with a little bait, and he stays quiet all night long, but if you sleep in too long, he’ll let you know it’s time to get out of bed and get your day started.

With other dogs, Sprout is playful, kissy, cuddly, and happy. He loves to cuddle with his foster siblings, and he will even share toys with them. He’ll even go for toys that are nearly his size!

When Sprout feels comfortable, he likes meeting new people, but understandably, he gets a little nervous in unfamiliar situations (like the vet). Once he realizes that the people are nice, he’ll loosen up. He’s getting more comfortable every day, and his charming, sassy personality is sure to win lots of people over.

Sprout is a pretty laid back boy; he likes to be where his people are, and his favorite times are just getting to cuddle up on the couch. If that’s not available, he’ll keep himself entertained with a toy or a nap. Sprout would be a great short walking partner, but because of his little short legs, he probably can’t handle heavy duty exercise.

We typically adopt to homes within 30 minutes of Athens, GA, as we require a basic home check to ensure all dogs are placed in a safe environment. If you are further away than that and are interested in one of our pups, please still fill out an application and we can discuss your options.
