Sprout's Story
Meet Sprout - a young, bright-hearted boy who's come so far and is finally ready for his forever home.

Sprout is a 1-year-6-month-old medium mixed breed with a soft white coat and an even softer personality. His journey started in a hoarding situation of 19 dogs after his owner passed away, where he and his buddies were mostly living outdoors. Since coming into our care, Sprout has learned what it means to feel safe, loved, and part of a family-and he's blossomed because of it.

Sprout thrives on connection. He loves attention, gentle pets, and being close to his people. In fact, his favorite place is right beside you, and he'll happily settle at your feet or curl up nearby just to be close. Because of how much he bonds with his humans, he can get a little sad when left alone, so he'll do best in a home where someone is around often and can continue helping him build confidence in being alone.

This boy is also impressively well-mannered and intelligent. Sprout has already mastered "no," "leave it," "off," and "yes," and he's actively working on "drop it." He's a quick learner who genuinely enjoys training and wants to get things right. He greets other dogs calmly and appropriately, and after introductions he responds well to recall and returns when called. He's polite with strangers, happily sits for pets, and even tolerates grooming like a pro. All of this is thanks to the Puppies for Parole Program where Sprout has been mastering his skills and is set to graduate on June 12th.

Sprout does also have a playful side-he may do a little gentle nibbling when excited, but he's working hard on "leave it" and learning better ways to play and interact. With continued guidance, he's going to shine even brighter.

What makes Sprout special is how deeply he connects with his people. He's calm, affectionate, eager to please, and just wants a safe place to belong.

Sprout is ready for a home that will keep teaching him, keep loving him, and never make him feel like he's on his own again.
