Sprinkles's Story
Sprinkles came to us through our Final Wish Program, after being found beside her beloved owner who had sadly passed away. At 8 years old, this sweet girl doesn't understand why her world changed so suddenly, but she's ready to find love once again.

Sprinkles went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn more about her in a home environment, and it was extended to a month because of the great progress her fling family observed.

Sprinkles' Fling Mom reports:

"Sprinkles came to Frosted Faces after her owner passed away, and you can just tell she was deeply loved. She's affectionate, loyal, and happiest when she's with "her people." I speculate that Sprinkles likely missed out on socialization in her former life, so new places and new folks can make her unsure at first. When visitors come to the door, she'll bark like a guard dog... then immediately grab her favorite toy and come back wiggling, ready to show it off. She's what some may call socially awkward. Most of the time, she wants to be friends but is unsure how to accomplish it.

Sprinkles has made huge progress in our home. At first, I didn't trust her with my 10-year-olddaughter. Sprinkles would pin her ears and have a low growl whenever my daughter barreled about the house. Within a week, Sprinkles went from always leashed "just in case" to having my daughter as her second-favorite human, as you can see in the video!

Sprinkles coexists with our pets. (In a house where crumbs may roam free, I crate her when we leave - mostly for the safety of our very elderly dog.). For the record, our cat, is absolutely the alpha. Daily care is easy: Sprinkles is house-trained, naps like a pro, loves playtime, and isn't picky about meals. Sprinkles is a dog with a huge heart who's learning, healing, and blooming a little more every day. With patience, love, and a steady home, she's going to be someone's once-in-a-lifetime dog.

Sprinks, as we affectionately call her, is back on-site. When you initially meet her, she may not show you the best of her. But know she has touched her fling family's heart with her love. And we know if you give her a chance, she will do the same to you."

Sprinkles loved being in a home again and dreams of a forever family.
