Spot's Story

Spot is a 48-pound, 3-4 year old American bulldog mix who is smart, sweet, athletic, and curious. He'd be ideal for an adult who likes to be active. Open to a meet-and-greet. He does get along with other dogs, but he can be dog selective at times. Ideal as an only dog. He loves people though. One of the most athletic dogs you'll come across.

He's fully vetted, healthy, and up-to-date on all preventatives. Adoption fee sponsored to the right home.

People have failed him his entire life, but he's not lost his spirit. His original owners had substance abuse issues. They split up, and the new girlfriend abused him before dumping him in a rural area where he was left to fend for himself for months. He ended up at animal control in the county, and was on the euthanasia list before my rescue saved him.

He can get overstimulated at times with young children and hyper dogs. So an adult who wants to show him love, attention, and direction would be ideal. He's a lover boy, and we've bonded. He's loyal and affectionate.

He knows how to sit and shake. Responds well to training. He needs someone who will work with him. But he's a great dog with so much potential. He loves to ride down the road (on your lap if you let him), looking out the windshield. He's curious like that.

He's been in boarding for 4 months after we pulled him from animal control. He was at the shelter for 6+ months. He's ready for a couch to take naps on. He's ready for his forever person.
