Spot's Story
His name is Spot. A white dog with blue eyes like a tropical ocean. But the first thing I noticed wasn’t his eyes. It was how gently he touches you. I went into his run to clean. He wagged his tail, happy to see me—but stayed low when I bent down, like he wasn’t quite sure yet if he could trust me. I moved around the gravel, doing my work. Then he came over and leaned softly against my leg. Like a quiet thank you. I actually gasped and looked over. “Oh, I know. He’s wonderful,” Angela said. “I don’t know why he’s still here.” Neither do I. A few minutes later, Spot dropped low to the ground in a playful bow, like a puppy testing whether it was safe to be silly. Spot came from a domestic violence situation, and his capacity for love and affection is enormous.

He’s been at the shelter for two years. Spot is waiting for his fur-ever home!
