Spot's Story

Spot is living in a foster home. Please submit an application from our website and email dogs@heartlandanimalshelter.org to see if you're a match!

Scroll through his pictures to see his cute videos!

Spot may have the most basic name, but he is anything but a Basic Boy! Spot is one of the sweetest dog souls you will ever meet, despite a rougher start in life. Spot and his siblings, including Bullseye who was adopted from us in February, were found in rural south Texas and taken to a wonderful place down there called SARA Sanctuary. Spot and his siblings were emaciated when they were brought in, at just 8 weeks old. We have the pictures, and they are heartbreaking. Luckily these pups were greatly cared for and grew into the big, strong, healthy teenagers they are today!

Spot grew up around multiple dogs and people on the farm, and his top-notch socialization skills shine through as he simply loves anyone and anything he meets. Spot is the kind of dog that falls hard and fast for a person after just a few minutes... He comes off a little "thirsty," as the kids say, but we say: Adopters aren't here to play games, they are here to fall in love; so bring it on, Spot!

Spot walks well on a leash, is well-socialized to people and animals, is affectionate and gentle... what more could you ask for?!

If you have looked at his videos you understand what we mean when we say he is the sweetest soul. Even in his pictures he is smiling so brightly, his warmth and charm comes through. Spot is such a special boy. We know he will get the happy home he deserves, and he is going to make some lucky person (or people) the happiest in return.

Spot's adoption fee is $300. This animal is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
