Spot's Story

Meet Spot - a friendly, curious guy with a big heart and an even bigger love for life!

At 6 years old and a petite 56 pounds, Spot is a well-rounded companion who enjoys a balance of activity and relaxation.

In the car, Spot rides well and settles nicely for the trip. On leash, he is generally well-mannered, but he does get excited when he spots other dogs because he really wants to play. He may also pull when he catches a strong or interesting scent, but overall he's a fun and manageable walking buddy.

Spot is very comfortable and curious in public settings. He enjoys being out and about, happily greeting people and showing interest in everyone he meets. He loves attention and isn't shy about it-often leaning in for affection or even hopping into your lap if you're seated. He's especially fond of giving sweet kisses on your face and arms, and he has a goofy, affectionate charm that wins people over quickly.

He has a low to medium energy level. At first, he may be wiggly and excited when settling in, but once he gets comfortable, he relaxes and enjoys a good nap.

Spot is very interested in other dogs and is social and playful. He would likely do well with a family willing to continue working on basic manners and boundaries, as he's still learning and improving with guidance.

Treats are okay for Spot-he prefers higher-value ones and takes them gently and politely. One of his most unique quirks is his adorable "pibble nibble" affection, where he gives gentle little nibbles on your arm (and sometimes even your toes, if you let him get close enough!).

Overall, Spot is a loving, social, and fun-loving dog who thrives on connection and companionship. If you're looking for a playful companion with tons of personality and affection to give, Spot might just be your perfect match.

Spot is currently being fostered by Hounds Town Greensboro-Guilford Doggie Daycare and is available for adoption. He can be adopted directly from the facility after an approved application from GCAS has been submitted to us and you've met Spot in person. If you'd like to meet Spot, please contact their facility to set up a time!

Phone: 336-308-8444
Address: 123 S Walnut Cir, Greensboro, NC 27409
Email: greensboro-guilford@houndstownusa.com

Business Hours:
Monday-Friday 6:30 am - 7:30 pm
Saturday 9 am - 5 pm
Sunday 11 am - 1 pm

Important Info:
The Hounds Town lobby is closed to the public between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday for some disruption-free downtime after a morning of play.
