Spot's Story

At 11 years old, Spot is looking for a loving forever home after being rescued from an overcrowded shelter. And this handsome guy is truly one of a kind — he's a Bassador! He has the head and body of a Lab with the adorable little legs of a Basset Hound. How could you not fall in love with that face and those legs?!<br/><br/>Spot is such a fun, sweet guy who absolutely LOVES going for walks! He walks nicely and enjoys getting out to explore with his people. When he's not out enjoying a stroll, Spot is perfectly happy relaxing and spending time with the people he loves.<br/><br/>He would do best as the only pet in the home, where he can soak up all the attention and love for himself. Senior Dog Sanctuary of Maryland's Adoption Policy
Why adopt a Senior Dog? Experienced, housebroken, settled down, loving and lovable, good with children, excellent company, non-judgemental - we could go on but you get the picture. Exceptions to everything listed? Sure, but all in all an experience you will never regret. First, come visit the dogs that interest you; we are open, by appointment, every day of the week from 10-3. Then complete our Adoption Application, which asks for personal references, your animals' Vet, information about your home environment and your agreement to allow us to do a home visit. Once approved, we will do a meet and greet with your family - including your four-legged family members. If all goes well, you welcome your pup into your home and your heart and you all become members of our extended Senior Dog Sanctuary family!
