A trip to the vet for vaccines and bloodwork revealed that Spot has a condition known as Hypothyroidism, he is on Levothyroxine twice daily for this condition and will need to be on this for the rest of his life.

Being on his thyroid meds has been a miracle for Spot. He has lost weight, runs like the wind when he sees something he wants (treats, open gate, etc.), his skin and ears are looking great now that his diet has changed and he’s been vaccinated, neutered and microchipped.

Spot likes other dogs but is very interested in the chickens so he’s not been allowed to get too close (he is a bird dog, after all). Spot would benefit from some daily walks, he is learning not to pull on the leash. Spot keeps his kennel clean all day but occasionally wants to mark new territory. Spot LOVES attention and will climb into your lap if you will let him. This older gentleman still has lots of life to live and love to give.

If you are interested in Spot, please complete the online application and mention his name and ID #. Spot as mentioned above is UTD on his vaccines and is H/W negative and on preventative.

HISTORY:

Spot came into rescue due to his owner no longer able to care for him.
